About Alison
Alison Stevenson is from the San Fernando Valley but now lives in Oakland, CA. She recently graduated from UC Davis with bachelor of arts degrees in English and Film Studies. At Davis she was a member of the long-form improv. troupe, Birdstrike Theatre, and is currently pursuing stand up comedy around the bay area (and beyond). She was also briefly a columnist for The Calfornia Aggie where she wrote columns about women/women and sex.
Her favorite movies are Manhattan, Polyester, Harold and Maude, The Forbidden Zone, The Toxic Avenger, and Spaceballs. Among many others. Basically she considers Woody Allen and John Waters her two gay dads (even though only one of them is gay).
She is also a huge comic book fan. Favorites are Peter Bagge’s HATE and Studs Kirby, Julie Doucet, Love and Rockets, Black Hole, Adrien Tomine, The Alcoholic, Y: The Last Man, Daniel Clowes, The Doom Patrol, and again…so much more.
